1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using Flint Journey (“the Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Flint Nova Technologies Pty Ltd (ACN: [INSERT ACN]) (“we”, “us”, “our”).
If you do not agree to these Terms do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Flint Journey is a career intelligence platform that helps users capture career moments, build a professional evidence record, and generate career-related outputs including performance review materials and job application packages.
2.1 AI-generated content
Flint Journey uses artificial intelligence to assist with content generation. AI-generated content is provided as a tool to support your thinking — not as professional career, legal, or employment advice. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it in any professional context.
2.2 Service availability
We aim to maintain the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
3.2 Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@flintjourney.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3.3 One account per person
Accounts are for individual use only. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of other people without their knowledge and consent.
3.4 Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Plans
Flint Journey offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plan details, pricing, and features are described at flintjourney.com/pricing.
4.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe.
4.3 Automatic renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account settings or by contacting hello@flintjourney.com.
4.4 Price changes
We will provide at least 30 days notice before any price increase. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect your continued use constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
4.5 Refunds
Please refer to our Refund Policy for details of our refund terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Your Content
5.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you create in Flint Journey including career moments, story items, journal entries, and any documents you upload (“Your Content”).
5.2 Licence to us
By using the Service you grant Flint Nova Technologies a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models or for any purpose other than operating the Service.
5.3 Your responsibility
You are responsible for Your Content. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
5.4 Data export
You may export Your Content at any time through the Service or by contacting hello@flintjourney.com.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person
- Circumvent any technical measures we use to protect the Service
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our IP
The Service, including its design, code, features, and Flint Journey branding, is owned by Flint Nova Technologies Pty Ltd and protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
7.2 Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service we may use that feedback without any obligation to you.
8. Third Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (AI), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and optionally Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
9.1 No professional advice
Flint Journey is a productivity and career organisation tool. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional career advice, employment advice, legal advice, or financial advice. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point only — always apply your own judgement before using it in professional contexts.
9.2 No guarantees
We do not guarantee that use of Flint Journey will result in improved career outcomes, job offers, or performance review results. The Service is a tool — outcomes depend on how you use it.
9.3 Service provided as-is
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law, Flint Nova Technologies’ total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of career opportunities.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
11. Termination
11.1 By you
You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting hello@flintjourney.com. Closing your account will stop future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid except as provided in our Refund Policy.
11.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice where practicable. We will provide notice except where immediate termination is required to protect the Service or other users.
11.3 Effect of termination
On termination your right to use the Service ceases. Your Content will be retained for 90 days after termination before permanent deletion, during which time you may request an export.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
